A digital painting of three stoats: Thorn, Ava and Lila from Burrow's End. Lila is sneaking a peak at something in front of Ava.ALT

The preview image for the next episode has me in a chokehold and I went into a fugue state and drew this.

A photograph of the exact same scene as the painting above, but of human beings — the painting is clearly based on it.ALT

pencilscratchins:

Digital fanart of Star Trek characters, placed in two scenes. On the left, Sybok, Michael, and Spock stand against a farm fence. They all look young: Sybok in his late teens, Michael around 16, and Spock maybe 12. They're dressed in Vulcan robes, juxtaposed against the farm behind them, all invarious states of duress. With her arms crossed, Michael blandly says “ we are not on Vulcan anymore.” In the scene on the right, an elderly Trip and T'pol stand. Trip’s hair has gone all white and he uses a cane. T’Pol is dressed in fuel Vulcan robes, with a short grey haircut. Trip says delightedly “Oh, this is gonna be fun.” /END IDALT
Digital fanart of Star Trek characters, placed in three scenes. First, Sarek and Amanda’s three children stand in age order, all in farm clothing. Sybok, 18 or 19, is in a red plaid and jeans, looking comfortable. Michael, 16, next to him looks less thrilled, in a yellow sweater and overalls. Next to her, a 12 or 13 year old Spock looks even LESS thrilled, completely swamped in an oversized green & white flannel and too long jeans, cuffed. Second, a scene is set in a barn filled with hay. Michael leans furiously into a lounging Sybok, saying “you look ridiculous.” Sybok takes a pull from a joint and replies “you look like a minions.” In her yellow shirts and overall outfit does indeed make her look like a minion. There’s a note, saying how historically important minions is. Third and last, Spock speaks with Trip. He says plainly, “Mother and your intention to socialize me during the ‘trip’ is both apparent and illogical.” Trip smugly replies “well that’s a shame, Spock! especially since I wanted to introduce you to someone-“ He indicates to s boy Spock’s age, holding a basket of pears and dressed in overalls. He smiles a greets Trip as Trip introduces him “This is the orchard’s co-owner’s son, Yûzé! But since you don’t want to.” Slightly flustered but clearly hiding it, Spock pauses. He then says “I will endeavor to make friends.” Trip cheerfully says “that’s the spirit!” /END IDALT

can’t shake the idea of amanda making the kids spend a harvest season on uncle trip’s and aunt t’pol’s pear farm in washington. this is basically a “the simple life” au where sybok forms a cult of personality, michael frees all the frogs from a local high school, and spock gets a crush. classic boy meets world stuff.
